They're beautiful. At least that's what I thought when I first saw them. They assimilate people into them, though. They disappear when that happens.

It's fine. It's common knowledge back home. Fafners have Festum cores inside them. Long operation times can lead to assimilation.

The cores are what makes them effective against the enemy. So there's really no getting around them.
